We are committed to supporting our local community wherever possible and our corporate social responsibility is something we take seriously.
Within Heritage Will Writers, we have a Charity Team that meets regularly to look at how we can continue to support local charities and engage our staff in fundraising activities. Many of our staff are active in volunteering, take part in fundraising activities and helping raise awareness. Some of the Charities and initiatives we support include:
Nelsons Journey is a Norfolk charity that supports children and young people who have experienced the death of a significant person. At the start of 2018, Heritage Will Writers joined the NJ Twenty20 scheme – A commitment taken by 20 Norfolk businesses to raise a minimum of £1,000 each to help celebrate the 20th year of Nelson’s Journey. In April 2018, three members of the Heritage Will Writers Team completed a tandem skydive which raised over £1400 for Nelsons Journey. We are also supporting their other fundraising activities such as a “Purple Picnic” and Quiz night.
Charity Golf Challenge
Launched in 2017, Heritage Will Writers host an annual Charity Golf Challenge including 18 holes of golf, two course dinner and prize giving. The first year’s event raised several £000s for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice (EACH); Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) and East Anglian Air Ambulance. The 2019 event is fundraising for nelsons Journey as part of the Twenty20 scheme.
Norwich Rugby Club
We have been a Main Club Sponsor at Norwich Rugby Club for several years. They are a proud amateur club with a 132-year history who are committed to supporting grass roots rugby.
Norwich City Dementia Action Alliance
We are proud members of Norwich City Dementia Action Alliance and have made a number of pledges to play our part in making Norwich city a Dementia Friendly city for people living with dementia.
Norfolk Will Help
Heritage Will writers are actively involved in the annual Norfolk WILL Help scheme which was developed by Norfolk’s child bereavement charity, Nelson’s Journey. They wanted to develop a locally focused will writing scheme which enabled Norfolk residents to have their basic wills written in return for a donation that would be split equally between five charities who benefit the local community. All funds raised are passed to the five charities to support their work in the Norfolk community.
